Vietnam is full of forested steep mountains which conceal some stunning waterfalls. From North to South, these amazing gifts that Mother Nature gave to this wonderful land help creating some magnificent sight-seeing tourist attractions. 5 of the most beautiful waterfalls in Vietnam are listed below:
1. Ban Gioc Waterfall in Cao Bang
Cao Bang has to be one of the highlights for the vast mountainous area of Northern Vietnam. And within Cao Bang, Ban Gioc Waterfall is unquestionably the most famous tourist attraction. Being the 4th biggest cross-border waterfall in the world, Ban Gioc is 200 meters wide and 70 meters high. There are not many finer natural scenes in Vietnam.
2. Thac Bac (Silver Waterfall) in Sapa
Thac Bac is only just more than 10 kilometers away from the scenic town of Sapa and can be easily accessed. From afar, the massive volume of water pouring down makes the waterfall looks like a silver dragon, hence the name. Thac Bac is something you shouldn’t miss during your stay at Sapa.
3. Thac Tac Tinh in Son La
Situated in the Hoang Lien Son Mountains, Thac Tac Tinh is more than 100 meters in vertical length. So, although it’s not as wide as Ban Gioc and Thac Bac, Thac Tac Tinh is still spectacular as it is adorned by the imposing mountain cliffs of Vietnam’s greatest mountain range.
4. Pongour Waterfall near Da Lat
Located 50 kilometers away from Da Lat, this seven-tier waterfall is once regarded by the French as “the most magnificent waterfall in Indochina”. Visitors coming to Pongour Waterfall will have the feeling of belonging to a magical staircase to heaven.
